1. Verhoogd CSV concentratie aan proteïnen (>150 mg/dl)
2. Zeer traumatische LP (> 100.000 RBC/µl)
3. Methaemoglobine (door reductie vanuit oxyhaemoglobine)
4. Systemische hyperbilirubinemie (hemolytische/hepatische ziekten) met een totaal bilirubine serum >10-15 mg/dL
5. Medicatie (o.a.cephalosporines)
6. Caroteen (Vit-A-derivaten)
